Why is Keyword Research important to you?
Keyword research is a practice used by SEO professionals to find and interpret search terms that people enter into search engines when conducting a search. These keywords are entwined within a website in hopes of being found by search engines. Effective keyword research anticipates what a user will enter into a search engine to find certain topics. For example: If a user is looking for a beach cruiser in Phoenix, Arizona he/she may enter words such as “beach cruiser Phoenix” into a search engine to find the product. At the same time, a second user is entering “Arizona bicycles” to find the same product. More than likely, these two searches will produce two very different search results. In order to optimize exposure in search engine results, a website that implements thorough keyword research will contain all of the words that are being searched by these two different users. Additionally, with effective keyword research, more words pertaining to similar topics will materialize thus leading to greater exposure. Continued keyword research is imperative to the practice search engine optimization. Vocabularies change at light-speed rates in today's marketplace. Think back to the industry jargon that you used two years ago and compare that to what you use today. Very different. In order to stay on top of these vocabularies and properly use them to market your business and stay at the top of search engine results, continual research of evolving organic keywords is a must!
